My saddle canteens are a replica of the old civil war canteens that lay flat agains the saddle, either up from or in the rear. The design is simple and clean, and when you soak the leather as you fill the canteen and the water begins to evaporate, this action helps keep the water inside the canteen very cool. Some regular maintenance of the leather is needed every now and then to help keep the chap leather conditioned. A little Olive Oil here and there helps with that.
Custom laser engraving (pictured in the photos) is available on request. Simply select that option and then well be in touch. If that option is not selected then the canteen will come with just the makers stamp on the one side.
