Is curiosity your guide in life? Are you wanting to learn how to make a saddle because you’re starting to think you want to be a saddle maker, or you just want to be able to say you built your own saddle? Well I’d love to share my knowledge with you!
The course is $7,000 and covers all the materials for the build, and you leave with a saddle you built yourself alongside me as I build mine, and patterns to get your start.
We build the saddle in lock step where I'll discuss the skill, demonstrate the skill on my saddle, and then turn you loose on your saddle with my supervision. The goal is that you build 99.9% of the saddle and I only step in if I think you’re going to make a mistake. This is a fully hands on course.
I take one student month and it lasts 10 days. Accommodations are not provided, but I can help you find what will fit your needs here locally with one of our many hotel, or AirBnB options in town. We need to book it at least 3 months out to get the saddle tree and other materials in the shop in time. The 10 days need to be blocked out in a row to help with the flow of the build.
You reserve your slot, with a $750 tree deposit, then before you arrive a $1,125 materials deposit. Final payment at completion.
