How long does it take to get a saddle

From the time the Tree Deposit ( $750 Non-refundable) is taken and the order goes in the queue, its typically 18-24 months at this time. Build times vary due to custom work, or delays in a the supply.

can i do a custom fit?

Yes. There is no such thing as a perfect fitting saddle, but I can walk you through making templates of your horse or mules back to get us just a little closer then without. (Fit is not guaranteed as a horse and mules body does change over time)

can i get it in different color leather?

Yes. I exclusively us Wicket & Craig skirting leather that comes in a verity of colors. Some leathers might add extra time to the build as it may not be in inventory.

is it tough enough to rope down a steer with it?

I build my saddles more for men and woman that spend their lives in the mountains. Keeping the saddle as light as possible is the main focus, without giving up on strength. So while they’re built for leading strings of mules, yes, they’ll “rope a steer”.
