This set of saddle bags are lighter then my calvary style saddle bags that clip on. With a strap (that comes with the bags, but you’ll have to add it to your saddle) and buckle system as seen in the photo, these bags are quick to put on and take off, with an added whole for your saddle strings to still be used. Inside features a map or phone pocket on both sides, and storm flaps to help keep any weather out.

Two leather options are available:

Standard- is made from 5.5oz Oil tanned chap leather either in a Tan or Brown. This is the same leather I use to build my standard chaps and is very strong and yet soft.

Premium- is made from 6oz Wicket & Craig milled harness leather. This leather has a bit more oils and waxes in the hide for better weather resistance and same soft feel. I love this leather, but it does cost more per hide and thus the higher price.
